These terms are an agreement between you and Andrei's Miracle Software (Viilor 13, Pitești, Argeș, Romania) — "we", "us" — for your use of the LabelLens app. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
1. What LabelLens is
LabelLens lets you photograph food, supplement, and cosmetics labels. We analyze the ingredients using artificial intelligence and show you an informational verdict, which can be personalized to a health profile you choose to provide. How we handle your data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
2. ⚕️ Medical disclaimer — please read this carefully
LabelLens is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
The verdicts, scores, summaries, and personalized assessments the app produces are general informational guidance about ingredients — nothing more.
The app is not a substitute for advice from a doctor, pharmacist, registered dietitian, or any qualified health professional. Always consult a professional before making decisions about your diet, supplements, medications, or health — especially if you are pregnant, nursing, managing a medical condition, or taking medication.
Never ignore or delay professional medical advice because of something the app told you.
If you have a food allergy or intolerance, do not rely on the app to determine whether a product is safe for you. Always read the physical label yourself and follow your clinician's guidance. The app may misread labels, miss allergens, or be wrong.
3. AI-generated output disclaimer
The analysis is produced by an AI vision model reading a photograph. That means:
It can be wrong. The model may misread the label, miss ingredients, misidentify the product, or draw incorrect conclusions. Photo quality, lighting, packaging design, and label language all affect accuracy.
Verify against the physical label. The product's actual packaging is always the authoritative source for ingredients, allergen warnings, and nutrition facts.
Verdicts and scores are opinions generated from general ingredient information, not certified assessments, and are not endorsed by any regulator or health authority.
Personalized results depend on the profile information you entered being accurate and current.
We provide the analysis "as is" and do not warrant its accuracy or completeness.
4. Your account
You must be at least 16 years old to use LabelLens.
You sign in through our authentication provider; keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
You must provide information that is accurate — personalization is only as good as the profile you give it.
You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete account). Deletion is permanent.
5. License and acceptable use
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms.
You agree not to:
- use the app for any unlawful purpose, or to harm others;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code, models, or prompts, except where law permits;
- probe, overload, scrape, or interfere with our systems, or bypass rate limits and scan quotas;
- resell, rent, or offer the app or its analysis output as a service to third parties;
- upload content that is unlawful or that you have no right to upload;
- misrepresent the app's output as medical, regulatory, or certified advice.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
6. Subscriptions and billing (LabelLens Pro)
LabelLens offers an optional Pro subscription with extra features (e.g., higher scan limits, retained scan-history photos).
Billing is handled by Apple. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends, at the price shown when you subscribed (or as updated with notice).
Managing and cancelling: you can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your device Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Deleting the app — or deleting your LabelLens account — does not cancel the subscription; you must cancel it through Apple.
Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policies; we cannot issue App Store refunds directly.
We use RevenueCat to track subscription status. Prices may change; changes apply to subsequent billing periods after notice through the App Store.
Any free trial or introductory offer, if available, converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.
7. Free tier and fair use
Free accounts have daily scan limits, and Pro accounts have fair-use caps. We may adjust limits to keep the service sustainable. We may throttle or refuse requests that abuse the service.
8. Intellectual property
The app, its design, branding, databases, and content (excluding your photos and profile data) belong to us or our licensors. Your label photos remain yours; you grant us the limited license needed to store and process them to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Availability and changes
We're a small product under active development. We may add, change, or remove features, and the service may occasionally be unavailable. We may discontinue the app with reasonable notice, in which case you can export your data beforehand.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including accuracy of analysis, fitness for a particular purpose, and uninterrupted availability.
We are not liable for decisions you make based on the app's output, including dietary, health, purchasing, or medical decisions, or for allergic or adverse reactions to products.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of data or profits.
Our total aggregate liability for any claims relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (or €50 if you paid nothing).
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law — including, for consumers in the EU, statutory consumer rights, or liability for intent, gross negligence, or personal injury where such exclusion is not permitted.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your violation of these terms or misuse of the app, to the extent permitted by applicable consumer law.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Romania; disputes are subject to the competent courts of Pitești, Romania (without prejudice to mandatory EU consumer protections). If you are an EU consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer-law provisions of your country of residence, and you may bring disputes before the courts of your home country. The European Commission's online dispute resolution platform is available at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For material changes we'll notify you in the app before they take effect; continuing to use the app after that means you accept the updated terms. If you don't accept, stop using the app and delete your account.
14. Apple-specific terms
These terms are between you and Andrei's Miracle Software, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app and is not responsible for any product claims, IP claims, or legal compliance relating to the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
